2000 Penelitian Penggunaan Laser Semikonduktor Sebagai Sumber Energi Laser Nd:YAG Muchiar Telah dibuat dan diteliti sebuah model sistem pemompa laser Nd:YAG yang menggunakan laser semikonduktor sebagai sumber energi optik pemompa. Laser semi-konduktor yang digunakan mempunyai panjang gelombang 805 nm, mendekati salah satu puncak spektral absorbsi energi kristal Nd:YAG. Sedangkan pemompaan dilakukan dari arah ujung kristal Nd:YAG. Gabungan panjang gelombang dan cara pemompaan ini akan sangat mengefisienkan penyerapan energi oleh kristal Nd:YAG. Selain itu cukup digunakan catu daya voltase rendah, dan juga tidak memerlukan sistem pendingin khusus dengan sirkulasi air. 2000 Acoustic Emission Evaluation of Crack Propagation in The Reinforced Concrete Beams during Static Loading Titin Kathrina Acoustic emission (AE) is a non-destructive testing technique of which specially used to detect active cracks. This technique was employed to evaluate crack propagation in the reinforced concrete specimen during static loading in the four-point bend test. Cracking was monitored by an array of AE sensors of which attached on the surface of a specimen. AE signals from the active crack were recorded and analysed by AE SPARTAN-2000 computerised system. 2000 Control of Substrate Concentration in a Fed-Batch Fermentor Using Robust H-Infinity Controller Estiko Rijanto and M. Arief Yudiarto Fermentation is widely used in agri-biochemical processes. This paper presents a new method for designing a control system of growth limiting substrate concentration in a fed-batch fermentor. The control system design method utilizes feedback linearization and robust H-Infinity controllers. Asumming that growth can be modeled in a proper formulae, a feeding policy which ensures optimum grow rate in a fed-batch fermentor can be formulated. 2000 Penelitian Terhadap Deformasi Pada Paduan Aluminium Tipe A5083P-O Dengan Teknik Interferometri Optik Muchiar Deformasi yang terjadi pada pelat paduan aluminium tipe A5083P-O yang dibebani dengan beban tarik telah diteliti dan dipelajari dengan teknik interferometri optik pola spekel elektronik. Dari hasil substraksi terhadap rekaman pola spekel selama proses penarikan, telah ditemukan suatu pola frinji interferensi yang khas, berupa pita terang dengan posisi menyerong. Pola pita terang ini baru akan timbul pada tingkat deformasi plastis dan kedudukannya dapat berpindah-pindah serta arahnya dapat berubah disepanjang citra permukaan benda uji. 2000 Acoustic emission evaluation of crack propagation in steel bridge members during fatigue test Titin Kathrina Acoustic emission (AE), as a non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technique, was employed to monitor crack propagation in steel bridge members due to fatigue failure. The idea of the research project is mainly concerning with monitoring of the deterioration of the structure before catastrophic failure occurred, i.e. by investigating the behaviour of crack propagation under cyclic loading in the fatigue test. 2000 WDM subsystem utilizing lateral focusing of PML for optical communications Diah Intani The utilization of Planar Microlens (PML) for a wavelength division multiplexer without precision alignment has been proposed. By stacking 2 PML, the nearly circular focus spot of 5 mikron diameter was obatined. The size of this focus spot is comparable with that of single mode fiber. The WDM circuit use 4 stacked PML, and the micro filter has been inserted among the lenses to select the transmitted wavelengths. The port to port coupling loss is 3 - 5 dB, and an extinction ratio of larger than 20 dB for multiplexed-demultiplexed wavelengths of 780 nm and 633 nm is achieved. Lihat
