Design and Implementation of Guard Interval for OFDM System

In this research, a digital logic circuit for Guard Interval of OFDM system is designed and implemented. Guard Interval is used to overcome Intersymbol Interference (ISI) in high speed communication system due to channel delay spread. Guard Interval in OFDM system use the cyclic prefix added in every OFDM symbol. In this research cyclic prefix with duration of lenght of OFDM symbol is proposed. Design is done using ISE 9.2i Xlinx. Design result is implemented on virtex-4 development board.
