Tentang Yanuandri Putrasari

Yanuandri Putrasari is a senior researcher of Energy Conversion at The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) of The Republic of Indonesia. His research interests include internal combustion engines, alternative and renewable fuels, emissions, and thermodynamics. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Ulsan Rep. of Korea in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, a master's degree from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. His bachelor's degrees from the Yogyakarta State University and Mandala College of Technology, both in Mechanical Engineering, and his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University.

He has conducted several research projects in the field of internal combustion engines and energy conversion. The research that has been done is as follows: Performance simulation, injection, combustion, and combustion engine emissions with AVL BOOST and AVL FIRE CFD software, Performance testing and combustion engine emissions with engine dynamometers, Development of Elemental Powder Metallurgy Route for Production of Novel Nanostructured FeAl Intermetallic For High-Temperature Application, Diesel-ethanol utilization, Coordinator for Research on Mixture Optimization and Combustion in Dual Fuel Diesel Hydrogen Motors, Coordinator for Design and Construction Activities of Converter Kits for Gas Fuel Vehicles (CNG, compressed natural gas on SI engine application). In 2020 and 2021, as the head researcher of the NATIONAL INNOVATION SYSTEM RESEARCH INCENTIVE program with the topic of Increasing Performance and Emissions in Dual Fuel Generators, using Palm Oil Liquid Waste Biogas (POME) as a fuel substitution. From 2020 until now, he has been appointed as the Research Program Coordinator who coordinates all research activities at the Electric Power and Mechatronics Research Centre. He was also appointed as the National Priority Program (PN) and National Research Priority (PRN) coordinator for electric vehicle technology in 2020 and 2021. The main task is to coordinate all research activities on electric vehicle technology, both among LIPI internal and external LIPI researchers from various agencies, to achieve the targets that have been set.

Until now, he has produced many patents and published more than 30 international publications, both journals, and proceedings, especially those indexed by Scopus, WOS, and high impact. He currently manages the Journal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology as Main Handling editor. Now, he is also a reviewer in journals published by Elsevier, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis, for example, Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Energy Science & Engineering, Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, SAE International Journal of Engines, Alexandria Engineering Journal and others.
